What is MOPS International?

"MOPS Opens new window International (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging, equipping and developing every mother of a preschooler to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.

MOPS International's primary tools for encouragement are regular local meetings where moms of all ages and from all backgrounds gather to build friendships, share practical parenting strategies, and meet with mentors.

Chartered MOPS groups meet several times a month in 4,000 churches, ministries and non-profit groups throughout the U.S. and in 29 other countries. More than 110,000 women are currently registered in MOPS groups.

Who are we?

We are a group of moms of all ages with preschool children (birth through kindergarten). Any mother of preschoolers may attend, regardless of background or church affiliation.

We are real moms, just like you!

We'd love to meet you! Please call ahead of time so we can make sure your MOPPETS will have a place in our childcare program. We are very careful to maintain worker-to-child ratios to ensure your child's safety.

What do we do?

We meet to encourage one another in our jobs as moms!

Each time we meet, we spend time working on a craft as a large group, we have a speaker who addresses the needs of mothers like us, we get together in small groups to talk about topics pertaining to motherhood and womanhood, pray for each other. You'll be assigned to the same small group throughout the year so you can get to know them personally.

We meet at Calvary Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, located at I-96 and the East Beltline.
